Renovation strip outs, partial demolition, asbestos removal and skip bin hire for Dundas houses and townhouses.
Dundas strip outs and partial demolition for home renovations
WasteWise Services can strip out Dundas homes room by room, or take out a section of a house so your builder has a clean start. Kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, flooring, non-structural walls, rear additions and old garages are all common jobs. We remove only what the scope lists and look after everything that stays.
Dundas today is a suburb of houses and townhouses, with very few apartment blocks. That shapes the work. A detached house usually needs council checks, driveway access and protection for the rooms you are still living in. A townhouse adds strata approval, shared walls and neighbours only a few metres away, so we plan noise, dust and parking around them.
Our crews are led by qualified carpenters, so structural questions are answered before anything comes out. We manage approvals, service disconnections and safety planning, and we’ll check for asbestos containing materials before work starts. The result is controlled workmanship and a clean, safe site ready for your renovation.
Our strip out, partial demolition and asbestos removal services in Dundas
Each service can be booked on its own, but most Dundas renovations use two or three of them together.
Home Renovation Strip Outs
Kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, built-ins and floor coverings removed from Dundas homes, including cabinetry and fittings fixed to walls and floors. Rooms you are still living in stay sealed off and protected.
Partial Demolition in Dundas
Non-structural walls, rear rooms, sunrooms, pergolas, carports and garages taken down in a controlled order. We look after the roofline, slab and walls that stay, so the rest of the house is ready for the next stage.
Townhouse and Villa Strip Outs
Townhouses are a big part of Dundas housing. We strip out kitchens, bathrooms and flooring inside strata complexes, working to the owners corporation's approved hours and keeping shared driveways clear.
Asbestos Removal in Dundas
Homes and extensions built before the late 1980s may contain asbestos containing materials. With over 25 years of experience, our licensed team checks first and removes anything found to Australian Standards.
Skip Bin Hire in Dundas
Skip bins for renovation waste, garden clean-ups and strip out debris, sized to suit your block and driveway. We plan the drop-off and pick-up so the bin is there when the work needs it.
Rubbish Removal After a Strip Out
Old furniture, fittings and bulky items that will not fit in a bin are loaded and taken away. Your home is left clear and tidy for the trades that follow.
How we run a strip out in Dundas
We keep the process simple and specific to your home, with a clear schedule agreed before any work begins.
Look over the home together
We visit, look at what you want removed and what must stay, and note any materials that need an asbestos check before we quote.
Structural checks and council approvals
Our qualified carpenters confirm which walls are structural. We then check what the City of Parramatta requires and manage approvals, including strata consent for townhouses.
Protect, disconnect and set up
Services are disconnected where needed, and floors, entries and neighbouring properties are protected before removal starts.
Selective removal
The agreed items come out in a planned sequence using hand tools and small plant, which protects the frame, ceilings and walls you are keeping.

Working in Dundas and the Dundas Valley area
Dundas is a leafy residential suburb of about 1.3 square kilometres in the City of Parramatta, north-west of the Sydney CBD. Kissing Point Road, which opened in 1813, forms its eastern edge. The area had its own council from 1889 until it merged into the City of Parramatta in 1949. Dundas Valley was part of the suburb until 2007, when it was declared a suburb in its own right.
Much of the old orchard land was subdivided in 1902 and 1905 after the railway was extended, and homes have been added in waves ever since. The 2021 Census shows what Dundas looks like today. About 52 per cent of occupied homes are separate houses, 41 per cent are townhouses or semi-detached homes, and only around 6 per cent are flats. With so many townhouses, a Dundas renovation often involves strata rules as well as council rules. Homes and extensions from before the late 1980s may contain asbestos containing materials, so we check before any strip out.
The old Dundas railway station building on Station Street opened in 1896 and was rebuilt to the same design after a fire in 2006. The heritage-listed building now forms part of the Dundas stop on the Parramatta Light Rail, which opened in December 2024. The Ponds Walk follows the creek corridor through the suburb, and it is a big part of why Dundas feels so green. When a property sits near bushland or a reserve, we plan access and waste carefully to keep debris contained on site.

Dundas strip out and partial demolition FAQs
Do I need council approval for partial demolition in Dundas?
It depends on the specific work. Dundas is in the City of Parramatta, and many partial demolition and strip out jobs need approval or must meet specific rules. We assess your project and manage the approval process where it is required.
Can you remove a wall to open up a Dundas townhouse?
Yes, if the wall is non-structural and your owners corporation has approved the work. Our qualified carpenters check the wall first and remove it without damaging the ceiling, floor or adjoining rooms.
Do you service Dundas Valley as well as Dundas?
Yes. Dundas Valley was part of Dundas until 2007, and we work in both, along with the rest of the Parramatta region.
Do older Dundas homes contain asbestos?
Some do. Homes and extensions built before the late 1980s may contain asbestos containing materials in eaves, wet areas, flooring or garages. Suspect sheeting or tiles are identified before work starts, and our licensed team removes them to Australian Standards.
Where will the skip bin go for my Dundas job?
We look at your driveway, block and street during the site visit and recommend a bin size that fits. If the bin needs to sit on the street, we'll check the council requirements before it is delivered. Skip bin hire in Dundas can also be booked on its own for a clean-up.
